Central European Annals of Clinical Research (CEACR) is a multidisciplinary international peer-reviewed, open access journal promoting and publishing high quality original articles, review articles, mini-reviews, editorials, letter to editor, and case-reports on the most common clinical domains.

The journal scope includes but not limited to emergency medicine, anesthesia and intensive care, surgery, oncology, pediatrics, endocrinology, neurology, dentistry, laboratory medicine, nuclear medicine, genetics, medical chemistry, and biochemistry.

  • Open Access: The content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited
  • Publication time: 
    • Average Publication Time (APT): 49 days
    • Submission to First Decision Time (TFD): 16 days
    • Acceptance to Publication Time (ATOP): 22 days
  • High visibility: Full-text of the accepted article is published online first with a DOI.
  • Creative Commons Attribution License: CEACR publish articles under the Creative Commons Attribution License and are using the latest version of the CC BY license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. (CC BY 4.0).
  • Rejection rate 2019/2020: 63%

CEACR Aims

The Central European Annals of Clinical Research (CEACR) is a multidisciplinary international peer-reviewed, open access journal promoting and publishing high quality original articles, review articles, meta-analyses, and case-reports on the most common clinical domains.

CEACR is published bi-annually as follows: Issue 1 (August) and Issue 2 (December). The papers accepted for publication are published online with DOI on our online platform immediately after production (Ahead of Print). This makes your papers instantly citable and provides a permanent link to the article. Final version of  your paper allocated to a specific issue will mentain the same DOI.

Preprints 


Authors can view and manage their submissions from https://www.preprints.org/user/home/submissions

Preprints.org is a multidisciplinary platform for making the latest research available before peer review and journal publication. It allows authors to circulate their research and get feedback, and readers have the benefit of access to the newest discoveries.

Submitted papers receive a short check by Preprints.org staff and usually appear online in about 24 hours.

By requesting a DOI number, preprints are immediately citable and appear in databases such as Google Scholar and EuropePMC. 

Preprints.org posts original research articles and comprehensive reviews, and papers can be updated by authors at any time. The platform is supported and run by MDPI, an open access publisher.

Papers published by Central European Annals of Clinical Research (CEACR) are made immediately available worldwide under an open access license:

  • everyone has free and unlimited access to the full-text of all papers;
  • everyone is free to re-use the published material if proper accreditation/citation of the original publication is given;
  • open access publication is supported by the authors' institutes or research funding agencies by payment of a comparatively low Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted articles;
  • All articles published in Central European Annals of Clinical Research are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, an article processing charge (APC) of 1500 EURO applies to papers accepted after peer review.  (For 2019 and 2020, CEACR do not apply any APC for papers)

In accordance with major definitions of open access in scientific literature (namely the Budapest, Berlin, and Bethesda declarations), CEACR defines open access:

  • peer-reviewed literature is freely available without subscription or price barriers;
  • literature is immediately released in open access format;
  • published paers can be re-used without obtaining permission as long as a correct citation to the original publication is given.
